Sara Sindell

Undergraduate Research Assistant

My name is Sara Sindell, and I am a second-year student at the University of Washington majoring in Biology. I am interested in biology education research because I believe that understanding how to learn effectively makes all the difference when it comes to succeeding academically. Through this research, I aim to enhance our understanding of the learning process, specifically relating to social metacognition in STEM learning. My hope is to help future STEM students navigate their education through our knowledge of how self-awareness, regulation of thinking, and collaboration can enhance understanding. Outside of research, I love running, hiking, and cooking/baking!
